The 9th Annual Colesville
Super Celebration has come and gone, but won’t soon be forgotten. We started the day in the usual
fashion as the parade lined up at the “Blue Building” and made it’s way down Route 79 into town where we
all gathered to watch.
After Emcee John Austin sang our National
Anthem, he introduced this year’s Grand Marshall, Michael Lake, and officially kicked off this year’s celebration.
After the parade, the festivities were in full
swing at the Legion grounds and Gazebo Commons. We had food vendors, craft vendors and even a medieval
re-enactment of armored combat. Pleasant Hill Stables provided the horse drawn wagon rides.
There were a number of raffles held again this year.
Three local bands serenaded us through the afternoon and even inspired some celebration goers
to dance. And then of course at the end of the day was the fireworks display. I
think I can speak for all of us when I say WOW! Another beautiful show. It seems each
year they just get better and better.
